Exungomwenyo : Afrikan Counselling: Theory and Modalities

Exungomwenyo develops a coherent, practice-oriented framework for Afrikan counselling grounded in traditional Afrikan thought and healing. Drawing from ancient and traditional Afrikan cosmologies, Afrikan psychological thought, and the Oshiwambo concept of exungomwenyo, the work examines personhood, health and illness, therapist development, therapeutic relationships, ethics, and healing processes. Its second part presents counselling modalities including culture as therapeutic practice, Harmony Restoration Therapy, Meseron Therapy, NTU Psychotherapy, and African-Centred Healing Circles.
